Movie titles are in the wrong language despite my user preferences.

The titles are sometimes in Danish (like this one: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0929412/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_3) despite my "Title display country/region" being set to USA and "Title display language" set to english. This has been a problem for many years now. What's the point of the "country/region" setting if it doesn't do anything?

The setting does do something, but perhaps not always what you want. IMDb have acknowledged some problems in this area.

Your example title doesn't have a specific display title listed for the US. This can be added under Alternate Titles.

Another option is to try the "Original" setting, then at least you will only see Danish titles for Danish films.

I don't understand. Why does it display danish at all? Nowhere in my settings have i selected denmark.

It doesn't find a title that matches your "USA" setting, and the second priority is to find a Danish title which matches your location.

I'm not saying this is the best way of doing it, but that's how I understand it.

But there *is* an English title on record.

When I go on from my real IP, I see the film listed as "Quiet Chaos", with the French title listed as original.

When I go on from a U.S. IP, same thing, I see "Quiet Chaos".

When I use a Danish IP (despite my settings being English, U.S.) I see the Danish title.

I don't understand - the movie i linked, it should be showing the USA title for the movie, yes? I know that this movie has an american title, so why won't it show when i picked USA as my region?
