Why are movie trailers automatically played at 100% volume?
Please change this to 20% or even MUTE!

Also - why doesn't the website REMEMBER my volume choice?
I have to quickly bring down the volume for EVERY trailer.

Finally - Why don't trailers switch to 'WIDESCREEN' on tablets?
I always have to watch a tiny version in portrait mode.

Hi Mark.

This appears to be the native intended function of our site's video playback. What I would recommend here (which is what I typically do) is manage the volume through your desktop's volume control (lowering it) so that when you are viewing trailers it does cause you to have to change the site's trailer volume each time.  I will also change the topic of this thread to an idea for future technical team consideration regarding saved/cached volume level.

Regarding your final question, I have tested this functionally on an Android's native browsers and on the IMDb Android and iOS applications and see that the trailers are scaling correctly to my device's screens. What I would recommend if you are not already doing so is downloading the IMDb application for your specific devices (iOS or Android) and attempt to watch trailers through this method to see if this improves the widescreen scaling that you have reported.

WHAT? you want me to lower the volume from my audio card? is this a joke? so what when i listen a trailer on imdb i lower the volume from my audio card and then when i go play some game i go again 100%. is this a real answer? YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT NORMAL. i wonder what will happend if this same answer with the same problem you will get from youtube or anywhere else. I DIDNT SEE THIS PROBLEM ON ANY SITE IN THIS WORLD. 
Do it normal, or just dont run trailers you amateurs!
I like this site for a long long time thats why i want performance and stuff. Dont sell us this bullsh1t with "lower volume from your desktop" wtf...

Exactly... The solution is terrible when the correct answer is to fix the problem on the website. I give up - webmasters are just awful at designing websites for visitors!
