Moving episodes from one TV series to another

IMDB has two series "Widows" (1983) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085111/reference and "Widows 2" (1985) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088641/reference

They were actually both released under the same on-screen title "Widows" - the only place where "Widows 2" is listed is on the Lynda la Plante novelisation of the second series.

Since they are two seasons of the same series, I'm trying to move the episodes from one to the other. I've done this with various submissions such as 190902-150854-266000

  • "Widows 2" (1985) {(#1.1)}
    • Episode Title / Number - Correct
      • Old -
        Parent: "Widows 2" (1985)
        Number: 1.1
        New -
        Parent: "Widows" (1983)
        Number: 2.1

However these have simply changed the episode number from 1.1 to 2.1 etc, while still leaving them attached to the title "Widows 2".

How do I move the episodes from one series to the other? Should I rename at series level rather than for each episode at episode level?

I'll need to sort out movie connections and plot summary (the one for Widows 2 only applies to Season 2 of Widows, and needs its information to be distributed amongst the various episodes.

I know that there is already an episode 2.1 for Widows: that seems to be a partial placeholder entry which can be merged with what is at present "Widows 2" (1985) {(#1.1)}.

Hi Martin -

In addition to correcting the episode numbers, you would need to correct the episode series title from "Widows 2" (1985)" to "Widows" (1983)" in the Update form.

I have now corrected the remaining episodes and moved them to the existing series, the changes should be live on the site shortly.  Cheers!
