Multiple Credits Declined... Again

It’s very frustrating to me that IMDB is used as a professional site for people working in the film and television industry yet many of us are being declined credits for work we did while others (especially SA’s) seem to be able to have credits verified with no issue.

Yet again I have been declined for the following jobs:

#190419-184245-193000
#190419-183537-389000
#190419-180846-882000
#190419-180001-602000

These films haven’t come out yet so I can only provide contracts or payslips. I’m starting to lose patience with this happening time and time again especially as IMDB is a the first place employers look me up. Can this be resolved?

Hi Alex,

If you have submitted an update and it has not been accepted, it means that our editors were unable to verify it and need further information/additional evidence. As the title is unreleased, verification should include proof of employment - this can come in the form of pay stubs, receipts, call sheets or contracts for the production, any mentions within the media of the role on the production from reputable third-party sources.

Please upload these screengrabs or data somewhere on the Web where we can access it (we recommend a free image hosting service like imgur.com), these will need to be publicly available and cannot require an account to login. You can then send us the links/URLs pointing to it via the following process:

1) Find your original submission in your submission history (https://www.imdb.com/updates/history).

2) Verify that all the data is still valid. If you need to update/amend the information, you can do so and resubmit the entry.

3) Make a note of the update reference number (it's the number composed of three groups of 6 digits separated by dashes, e.g. 121027-090001-134000)

4) Go to this page: https://help.imdb.com/contact and select the options for IMDb Fan/Contributor Questions > Filmography Credits > Provide credit evidence

5) Fill in the form with all the information (the update reference number and all the URLs pointing to the additional verification for that submission). At least one link is mandatory. If you have more than three, use the 'comment' field to add them.

6) Enter any additional information, comment or feedback in the 'comment' field. The more data/evidence you supply, the better.

7) Submit the form.

Thanks
Meredith

Ok that’s not a problem for me to provide payslips as call sheets would be breaking my NDA’s. However, my other concern is that these films had working titles so are not referred to on any documents as Wonder Woman 1984 or Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Your info would have the title and you and your character name or your job description. You can redact all other info on all other people but you on the call sheet. That way your NDA is not violated. A pay slip does not identify what you are doing on the production.
You have to at least disclose yourself, your job description and the title for you to receive your credit.

My payslips state my department and my job title. They literally say Department: Assistant Director and Grade: Set PA or Crowd PA. But as stated above, not even a call sheet from Star Wars ever had Star Wars written on it due to security risks so everything was ynder the code name of Trixie.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response.

If you can send over the information via the means my colleague mentioned, our editors can review it on your behalf (taking into account possible title name changes) and add the credits if eligible!

I appreciate your patience.

I sent it over and it was all declined again because the payslips have working titles and not the title that’s on IMDB. I don’t know who runs the verifications here but they obviously don’t understand that big feature films go by working titles? I am extremely frustrated as 2 of my colleagues who do the same job role as me were able to add themselves to a film yesterday and it’s already been accepted. I’m not sure why there seems to be a black mark against my name and I’m constantly having to jump through hoops that my colleagues aren’t. Is there an email address for a compliants department as I seem to be being targeted for no reason. I will also be contacting my Union for advice because you are not allowing me to have an accurate IMDB profile and this is damaging for what I do when potential employers use it to look me up.

I have just sent another email, this time including evidence of the working titles for Wonder Woman 1984 and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. If all the credits are rejected again, I’m at a serious loss as to what I should do.

I’ve been rejected for all my credits again by Josie. She’s saying that none of the paperwork I’m providing has the title of the film despite 3 of them clearly stating the title on the call sheet and the payslips along with my job title. I have even supplied screenshots to verify that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was filmed under the working title Trixie with the production company being called Carbonado Industries as seen on my payslip and did the same for Wonder Woman 1984. You can also see that my timesheets have come from Pinewood Studios where these films were made. My colleagues are still able to add themselves without providing ANY of this so why am I different?
