I recently noticed duplicate titles and then went through the process of merging them.
I've received some messages from IMDb help desk.
Apparently the process is a bit more complicated than I originally thought.
It appears I need to first delete the episodes for the duplicate entry and also get some second opinions to verify my duplicate claims are legit.
While understandable it does seem like a lot of trouble...
I probably could attempt to do all the deletions myself but I have a horrible feeling process times would take a while, and I would have to over explain myself for why those episodes are being deleted in the first place...
Long story short, I was hoping an experienced contributor or any IMDb staff reading this message could use the evidence I've provided below to delete or merge the duplicates I've discovered in my place.
I'm aware this probably makes me look lazy but since there's a lot of red tape I honestly don't have much patience for I was hoping someone else who can bypass all that can take a look at these requests and solve these issues when they have the time

In my opinion it probably would be easier to delete the duplicates however I know that wouldn't be fair to users who voted for it and merging the duplicate (as far as I know) will transfer those votes over to the original title.
I've submitted other merge requests but they're still being processed. I'll probably receive similar messages asking for episode deletions and second opinions from other contributors so I suppose I'll be updating this thread somewhat often and hope someone generous and who has more contributor power than I do can help. :)

I can't help with your other suggestions, but I am reminded that another contributor has in the past posted eagerly about merging some other anime titles. You could ask him to take a look, maybe you could cooperate on how to go about it.
