I am having trouble getting this submission approved: #190927-192836-670000 . I've provided evidence from the sound designer who used my voices for many creatures. I recently tried submitting under Loop Group and was still declined although this is a legit submission. Please help

Hi, Lani.

Glad to see you
Isabella Ivy Valentine voice
here :)

IMDb accepts on-screen credits. I am not the staff to see if this was the case in the above mentioned #190927-192836-670000, but if your work is not credited on screen then you need to provide additional evidence to submit as "uncredited".

I hope this helps

I submitted a quote from the sound designer saying this

"Hey Lani! Sorry for the delayed response! I did find out that your name is in the credits under loop group. So yes, you can list your name on IMDB as "creature voice design" or "additional voice over" or anything really in that ballpark is fine. :)"

___________ The DVD is not out yet and it said something like Dec 2029 so that's difficult to show a screen cap if I have to wait to buy it.

I would not be happy with such a "proof" because it sounds similar to "choose what you wish". IMDb may decline such until the product release or changes been submitted by the production team of "Fallen Order".

Please wait for an official reply on this.

Have a nice day!

I don't understand Fallen Order if you are referring to me, but I'd think a direct quote from the credited sound designer who put my voices into that movie and who said I am credited under loop group should serve as legitimizing my submission.

Lani, IMDb follows the actual on-screen credits, so basically you should fully confirm the occupation before adding (well, submitting) anything to IMDb. Quite frankly (and this is certainly nothing personal, it happens sometimes) your sound designer kinda gave a bad advice since you can’t just ”choose what you wish” like already pointed out.

If your name is under ”loop group”, then that’s (most likely) your credit. If it’s something else, you should probably provide additional proof.

Ironically the IMDB page for IT Chapter 2 doesn't have a category fur Loop Group but under "other crew" I saw a person credited as Voice Actor. I submitted the third time under 'other crew' and added 'loop group' but nothing is working. I don't agree the sound designer gave bad advice as he saw me credited under loop group. I take issue if the people entering credits from the movie side didn't add loop group as a category but allowed an actor to be listed under Other Crew as voice actor.
Thank you!

My point was this part: ”...you can list your name on IMDB as "creature voice design" or "additional voice over" or anything really in that ballpark is fine. :)"

Above is not correct. You should add your occupation how it’s listed in the actual on-screen credits.

Based on the info on this thread, it would be ”Misc/Other Crew” department with the occupation ”loop group”. It could be it’s rejected because the film is still in post production (is it?) and IMDb staff can’t confirm the actual credits.

Lani, was you submission declined as "unable to verify"?

Did you submit it as this?
If you are in a loop group, you are ADR (Additional Dialog Recording) Additional voices would seem to fit.

There are many credited this way as  you can see in this pic below. (745 credits)

Please see here for info
https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC...

D. Voice credits

Voice performances in a film, TV show or videogame can be credited in the database as Cast or Other Crew credits (or not at all), depending on the type of voice work and how the actor was credited. Such credits are signified by the (voice) attribute. Please note that if the individual performed both the voice and the motion capture neither attribute is required for the credit, this is considered as a full performance.

In order to be listed in the Cast section of the credits, actors performing voice work on a film need to fulfill these four eligibility rules:
  1. They must have received an on-screen credit (i.e. no uncredited performances)
  2. They must have been credited in the cast section of the end titles (i.e. no 'background voices' or adr work). Additional Voice credits are permitted for animated titles or videogames as long as they are listed within, or immediately after, the main cast list.
  3. Adr/looping/background voices must be submitted as Miscellaneous (Other) Crew credits. When in doubt, send it as a Miscellaneous (Other) Crew credit. Announcer credits for non-fiction titles (game shows, sporting events etc) should be submitted as Miscellaneous (Other) Crew unless they are credited in the cast section of the end titles. If the person is playing the character "Announcer" they should always be listed in cast.

Thank you. I did submit most recently under other crew and loop group since I was told that was how I was credited and the movie is being shown in theaters but not available on DVD yet. Amazon had Dec 2029 listed on the pre-order date. I can't resubmit again until mid October. Ugh

Will, I was very thrilled to have the problem resolved and saw the credit last night, but today it's gone and I am back to square one.  No credit listed again.  What should I do?  Thanks in advance
