Hi there, the poster icon/thumbnail for my short film Piranha (2013) http://www.imdb.com/list/Pt4iOuRcl-s/, is out of scale, whenever I see the film in **search results** on the iPhone app.

PLEASE NOTE: This issue only affects the iPhone app, and the film poster thumbnail is in-scale on the actual profile page of the film on the app, BUT is ONLY out of scale when seeking the film in search results. Not sure of it's only an iPhone issue, or affects other smartphones as well.

I understand it's a minor issue, but I prefer it to be in-scale, at all times, as I have paid money to have the poster on the site.

Please let me know if you can fix the issue, without affecting the scale of the poster on the profile itself. Basically it should be scaled correctly at all times.

Cheers,

Elcid

I can't seem to duplicate your problem on an iPhone, could you post screenshots? When looking up Piranha (2013) I see your poster but it is in-scale in the search results on the mobile app.

You can see here that the poster is out-of-scale. It's like this on the iPhone app, and via the mobile website when I search for it on safari.

Just to note that my iPhone is IOS4, but as you'll see with the Rage Against Symphony poster (my other film), which is also in the same photo, that poster is in-scale, as are the others.

So there is an issue. Right?

It is odd - as it looks like it has been badly cropped.

Yep! But it's just the thumbnail as you can see in the photo. Alex let me know when the issue is resolved, thanks.

I already mentioned previously that it's IOS4. But that has nothing to do with it. Please NOTE in the image, the other posters are in-scale. It's also not just the app, it's the same in the search results when I use safari to access IMDb mobile.

I think all you guys need to do is re-upload the poster and it will adjust itself accordingly, or just re-crop the thumbnail, even if it looks in-scale on your mobiles.

My other film's posters are perfectly in scale btw.

Thanks.

Eclid,
I asked because the poster looks fine on our test devices running the latest version of the app.
(3.4.2). What version of the app are you running?

1st, the name is Elcid, not Eclid, so let's get that right.

2nd, your colleague did mention that. I deleted the app recently, so am now using safari on my iPhone4 iso.4 - does that make things clearer?

The problem still persists on the mobile verion on the site. Every other poster on the site is in scale, however, except this particular thumbnail. Fixable?

Ah. This is =not= an app issue. It's a mobile web issue. I'll pass your concerns along.

As long as the problem is fixed, then I'm a happy man :-) it's not the greatest issue in the world, but even so... please fix it as I'm sure other web users are seeing the same badly cropped thumbnail on the mobile site.

Let me know when it's fixed, thanks.
