Gradually, over a period of some months, both Metacritic and your compilation of professional critics choices has slowly eliminated N.Y. Times movie critics. Both A.O. Scott and Manohla Dargis have to be counted among the top five critics in the U.S. Is any reason why their reviews are being phased out? (The Times' movie critics reviews are available through Rotten Tomatoes.)

I have not figured out a way to independently verify or refute your observation. It would be very strange if this turns out to be true.

One possibility is that the months of January through March has historically been the dumping ground by studios of films not likely to get good critical reviews.

There may also be a licensing issue for N.Y. Times content.

There are still links to A.O. Scott and Manohla Dargis on Metacritic.

A.O. Scott and Manohla Dargis still have reviews on IMDb for 2013.
