Name change

As they say; usually they will only change the name once you have a credit with the new name submitted, but that exceptions are sometimes made. To change it, use the Edit Page button on your name page, and select "Name Correction". If there isn't an explanation field in that change form it might be a good idea to raise a data verification case (http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/data_ver...) afterwards to plead your case for them to make an exception from the general rule of only changing a name once a credit with that name is entered into the database.

Yes. Your resume is an attachment, sort of, to your page. Uploading it won't change anything on your name page.

Check in IMDb if there is anyone already listed by the name you will use.

To edit your page, open it and click the yellow "edit page" button. First on the list is "name correction or merge." Change the "no change" to "add correction", scroll to bottom and click "continue".

Enter your name as it should appear going foreward, last name first, and include any Roman numeral that will be added if there is already one or more by that name. Unless you were already getting credited this new way, Leave the check to preserve the old credits the way they were. Explain why it's changing (married name, new stage name, etc.). At bottom, click "check these updates".

You'll get a pink screen with a list of same/similar names. Click the last choice, "This is a different person not currently listed - create 'new name's " even though it does not sound right. In your case it doesn't mean new person but new name (it's just worded poorly."

Click "recheck these updates".

You should get a green screen and button to submit.
