But occasionally his actual name is used, and here's the problem: in its main credits, he's listed as "Michael Francis 'Bub' O'Casey," but in numerous episodes, he and others say his name is "William Francis O'Casey" or just "William O'Casey."
I submitted a 'continuity error' on the show's main page, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053525/... but I feel like his character's name in the main credits should be changed...or something. Is it plausible to change it to something like, "William/Michael Francis 'Bub' O'Casey"?
Since I don't know where the main credits come from--like an official source--I don't know whether they can/should be altered.

If you can provide a screen grab and submit it and absolutely know what episode it is from then you could add it as another character name.

I've deliberately saved a recent episode so I could refer back to it, "Bub's Butler." Bub says his name twice while hoping to hear his name called as a winner on a TV show: "William O'Casey! William O'Casey!" When the butler arrives, he asks Bub if he's William O'Casey.
This is a different episode from the one in my goofs contribution, and this happened in numerous other episodes as well.
But in both the opening and closing credits, Frawley is simply listed "as Bub"--so there's nothing to take a screenshot of that would support my case. Watching the episodes would!

Post the link and do a character addition edit for that specific episode and see if it will be accepted.

Character names should generally be based on screen credits, so the listed name
is already more than long enough.
