Hi Michelle, I'm having a similar issue with Fairfield Square (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7385892/). This was always a series, but when I submitted to festivals with a single link, I think it autopopluated as a movie. I need to add credits for individual episodes. Thank you.

Hi Matthew -

If "Fairfield Square" is not a film but is instead a TV or Web Series, you will need to submit a Title Type correction through our online Update form.  To do so you will need to submit a Title Correction, changing the title name to the following format:

"Fairfield Square" (2017)

For additional information, please review our guide for title formats.  Cheers!

Timothy,

In this case, three items will need to be updated: Genres, Keywords, and Title Correction.

On the main title page, click the Edit page button.

On the next page (Updating Information for...), under Plot & Quotes, go to Keywords and Genres and under Other Corrections, go to Title Correction.

On the right side of each item, change the drop-down menu to the following.

Keywords - No Change to Add 1 item

Genres - No Change to Correct/Delete

Title Correction - No Change to Add correction

Click the blue Continue button.

On the next page, in the Keywords section, in the bar, type web-series

In the Genres section, under Action to the left of Short, change the drop down from Keep: to Delete.

In the Title Corrections section, in the bar, type the new title format this way.

"Aesthetic Rebellion" (2018)

In the Explanation box below, type a brief statement why the title is being corrected.
(Example: Correcting title format from Short to TV series/web series.)
You can also add the URL of this discussion page in the explanation box.

Click the Re-check these updates button.

On the next page, Keywords should now be in green.

The Genre section has a yellow warning message. Write a brief statement on why the term Short is being deleted. (Example: Submitting a title correction. The project is a web series, not a film short.)

The Title Correction section has a yellow warning message. Acknowledge the warning by clicking the checkbox to the left of the following statement.

Warning understood, go ahead anyway.

Click Re-check these updates.

On the next page, all three items should now be in green. Click Submit these updates.

Allow at least 2-3 days for processing.

I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any more questions.

To clarify, I have done the Correction by adding the (2018), are the quotation marks the signifier that categorize it as a Web Series?

Yes. You need to add the quotation marks around the title. Please read the page link above on title formatting.

Alright, this doesn't seem to have worked.  The listing removed 'short' from the genre, added the keyword 'web-series', but it's still a movie.  I made sure to include the quotation marks and the year listing exactly as suggested.  On their Data Processing Times page, it says the oldest unprocessed Title Core listing is from today and I submitted this two days ago.

Timothy,

It appears the submission to change the title's format from movie to series has been completed. Not all data types are processed at the same time. On average, some updates may take 2-3 days to complete. It also depends on any data processing backlogs. (Data Processing Times page)

FYI: On another matter, considering you've joined IMDb GetSatisfaction site a few days ago, I would recommend creating a new conversation page instead of responding to a message from months or years ago. A post with an "Answered" or "Solved" notation may not be responded to as quickly by an IMDb representative or a contributor.

I hope this helps.
