iOS v.8.1.2 and IMDB App v.4.6.1.
Major pain in the butt!
And no, you cannot do anything with the App, after choosing either "OK" or "Retry", doesn't do a damn thing.
My Watchlist & Ratings also show up as "0", though they're in the 1000's.
I cannot see my Account Info either.
Always something up with this App.

For those seeing this issue, have you installed any VPNs or set up proxies in your network settings? Ad Blocker apps work by modifying these settings.
While the app is showing network errors, are you able to see results-as-you-type on the search page?
In the Settings > About > Legal Information, does that page load?

EDIT: I'm fairly certain this is the cause of the network errors. I found a bug where before 4.6 we would adjust for incorrect device clocks by remembering how much it was skewed from the actual time, and correcting it when sending new requests. We must digitally sign requests to our server with a valid time, otherwise those requests will be rejected.

You need to use the iOS Settings app... The same Settings app you tap on to set general system preferences. This is the "Settings" where you need to set your time to automatic to fix the network issue (see Marks post for exact steps)

1. Go to Settings > Time & Date and either turn on Set Automatically, or adjust the time and time zone to be the correct time.
2. Kill the app by double-pressing the home button to go to the app switcher, and swipe up on the IMDb app's screen (iOS 8). On iOS 7, the app has a red button to kill it.
3. Launch the IMDb app again. The network errors should be gone.
We have a fix for this but are unable to submit an app update during Apple's holiday shutdown this week. So the first opportunity to submit will be on Dec 30th, and it will take several days after that for Apple to review it.
Until then, you'll need to make sure your clock is set correctly. Having an incorrect clock would likely also cause an issue with some of your other apps as well. For our 4.6.1 app, it must be within 5 minutes of the actual time. Having the wrong time zone set will cause the same issue, since what matters is what time your phone thinks GMT time is.

He's an internet troll (probably the worst ever) and is just posting nonsense in replies, like https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/imdb-not-letting-me-add-air-dates-to-certain-episodes-of-a-m...
Perhaps staff can delete his nonsense and block him (Painter)
