I'm not sure if this is something that can be done to with by contributors, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Through a rather circuitous route (owing to IMDb's policy of making adult performers unsearchable internally, even if they have . mainstream credits, but that's not entirely the point), I fell into the entry for adult film star Veronica Hart (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0366573/?...) while searching for the episode of Six Feet Under she appears in, and noticed what appears to be a relatively recent news item about her, except it's not. The story, "The Twilight Zone Is Being Adapted Into a Stage Play," does make reference to a Veronica Hart; while the adult performer, aka Jane Esther Hamilton is an accomplished stage actress, the news article is actually referring to a woman legally named Veronica Hart, a senior executive at CBS, and as far as I have been able to find, the CBS exec doesn't have an IMDb listing.

In fact, none of the news items on the adult performer's page are referring to her at all, and given Ms. Hamilton's relatively low activity level outside of the adult industry since her Six Feet Under appearance, that's not surprising.

Again, I don't know who to address this to, but it's a real error.

This news article has a link in it that is incorrect.
The Line in Question: Veronica Hart, svp, CBS Consumer Products, had this to say in a statement:
That Veronica Hart Link goes to the actress. The SVP (Senior Vice President) Should have no link.
They just happen to have the same name.
This is SVP. Hart of CBS....obviously not the one in the link

Could an IMDB Employee look at this.

Jerry and Cliff: If a news item has been linked to the wrong person with a particular name, you can report it directly. On a person's news page such as https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0366573/news, you will see below each news item two links: "Permalink" and "Report this". Click on "Report this".

That will take you to an "IMDb Contact Us" page. On that page, select "IMDb Fan/Contributor questions", then "News articles", then "Report issue with news article". Then click "E-mail".

On the next screen, there will be a form with which you can send an e-mail to report the problem. Note that the form will ask you to provide the URL of the news item including the "ni########" number. You should find that number within the URL you are looking at on that page, because it is included -- in this case, it's https://help.imdb.com/contact?news_item=ni61314724, so the URL to the article is https://www.imdb.com/news/ni61314724.

Then in the text of the e-mail, you can explain that the article is not about Veronica Hart (I), but about an unrelated person with the same name, in this case one who doesn't have an IMDb page of her own.  When you are done, click "Send e-mail".

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Cliff: Please see my other thread at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/improve-the-process-for-reporting-a-news-item. I have a suggestion there to the IMDb staff on how to make the process a little easier on users.
