On the title page of the film, when I press the arrow next to "+Watchlist" I see the options "View Watchlist" and "New List", and no "Check-ins". Also there is no mention of "Check-ins" anywhere else on the page.
I tried it with multiple titles and the same problem occurs in all of them. I've tried multiple IMDb accounts and multiple browsers.
Does the Check-in future even exist? If so, how do I access it?

A big thanks in advance.

Press "Share..." (to the right of "+Watchlist") and you will find it.
(After the first time, you will also find it under "+Watchlist".)

Hi Nom,

It looks like you answered your own question.

Also according to the Check-Ins FAQ:
http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?checkins
Why is the check-in button missing on some titles?
There are a few special cases where we don't allow a check-in. The most prominent of these is for titles that have yet to be released. We allow votes a few weeks before the general theatrical release, and it is the same for check-ins.

In general, you need to click the Share button to see the Check-in button.

When you click check in you should see this menu.
