Im sorry if im asking really stupid question but i just noticed that ive been using imdb for a very long time without metascore. I have it if im viewing page while guest.
anything i have to enable from accout or preferences?
also, i think greasemonkey add for firefox might help, but im foremost interested in why it's not enabled for me and is it supposed to be like this by default?

Meta Critic is only available in the Standard View.
This is what I'm seeing:

Combined View
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/c...
Reference View

1. Click on "You Account" from the pull down menu in the upper right hand portion of any IMDb page. This will bring you to "Your Account" page [https://secure.imdb.com/register-imdb...].
2. Under "Preferences" click on "Update general site preferences". This will bring you to the "Site Preferences" page. [https://secure.imdb.com/register-imdb...]

Remove check mark from box for:
Title pages: Always display full cast and crew credits
General: Show reference view (old title/name page layout)
Click yellow "Update" button.

I you check both boxes, you will get the "Combined view".
When you click the yellow "Update" button, you should receive a green confirmation box with the text.

One thing to note about setting the default types: if you select either reference or combined as your default, you will not be able to see the standard view without resetting your Preferences.
Since I need to check out the standard view fairly often, even though I prefer the combined view, I have not selected that one, but instead key in combined in the URL (replacing the ?ref... if it is there). I find this very annoying and consider IMDb's implementation to be badly flawed. They should have a link to the other 2 versions on each main TItle page, instead, rather ironically, a Combined link is only available on the Combined page.

Hi neha goraksh,
Not all titles have metacrtic scores. IMDb can only report what is available on http://www.metacritic.com/.
For instance, this is the metacritic page for The Shawshank Redemption (1994):
http://www.metacritic.com/movie/the-shawshank-redemption
An obscure film, such as Robin Hood, Jr. (1923) is unlikely to have a metacritic score:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0014411/
This is the link to the Standard View of The Shawshank Redemption (1994):
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/
You can see the metacritic score even if you do not have an IMDb account. If you click on the Standard View for the link to The Shawshank Redemption (1994) when logged out of an IMDb account, you should see a page much like this:

If you are logged in, you should see your user name instead of Login in upper right hand corner of the page.
Do you see something similar to the above while logged out for the link:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/ ?
If not, what do you see? Could your provide a screen copy of the page?

Depending upon what you post, someone may be able help diagnose why you cannot see the metacritic score.
