Hi,

I face the same issue and result when I am trying to launch a search from my own database to IMDb website (with Firefox): if the search string include the ampersand (&), the request is trimmed from that position and IMDb will only use the characters to the left of the ampersand for searching (I hope I am clear enough)

So I guess it must come from the way IMDb software process the request. Ampersand is likely to be considered as an operator in the request string and is ignored as part of it.
