In regards to this film. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6394430/?ref_=tt_rt
A few days ago the film had a total of 2555 votes, making it the fourth most rated film on IMDb from its country of origin and around 90% of those votes were 10. I firmly believed that most of those votes were fake because the film had only two local screenings instead of a wide distribution and, for example, there we a few hundred 10 star votes from US users while the film was never screened with titles. (Perhaps someone saw a private link with titles or is an immigrant in the US but it wouldn’t be a few hundred people and absolutely all of them wouldn’t think it’s solely deserving of a 10.)
Anyhow, I’m inclined to believe IMDb realised those votes were fake as about two days ago vast majority of the votes was deleted and only about 300 votes were left. Since other people than me saw the ratings were previously manipulated, they gave the film a low rating from legitimate accounts and after the deleting of votes the film was left with an unimpressive grade of 4.8. However, the very next day almost 500 new votes appeared for the film, all of them 10, and immediately bumped the grade to 7.4, and it’s continuing to grow as more 10 star ratings are coming. By now the film again has more votes after only three screenings than an average local film has after being widely available for years.I don’t know if I can prove those 10 star votes aren’t legitimate so I didn’t complain before but it appears IMDb recently realised something dubious is going on and deleted over 2000 votes for that film. So therefore I wanted to comment that seemingly fake votes are coming in again. I understand if nothing can be done, especially since whoever is behind it seems very persistent.
