IMDb, please bring back the Message Boards. From interacting with fellow IMDb users, I was able to learn a lot about various Films, Actors, etc. Also, in my experience, I was able to have deep, thoughtful discussions with many users.

I know the boards were banished due to negative comments, but I would like to say my overall experience was extremely positive. I simply didn't participate in the pettiness.

So, please bring them back!!! :)

I'm with Travis Ruhland on this subject. I really wish that you would bring back the IMDb Message Boards, so that we can communicate with each other privately and get really acquainted with one another, which unfortunately we're unable to do on this community forum, as I was told when I first signed up to join.

I didn't get a chance to communicate with anyone on the old message boards, and that was only because my membership on the IMDb website had to be authenticated by including a phone number. And not just any phone number, but a cell number from a cell phone, which unfortunately I don't use myself.

And I couldn't use my home phone number, because there was the possibility that I could get billed for giving that number out, and my parents would end up having to pay for it, and they would not like that one bit. Not to mention all the additional out-of-state phone calls that we might receive along with the ones that we've been getting already.

And so, let me be the first one to cast the first vote or be the first signee on a petition in favor of reinstating the message boards. Whatever it takes to get the ball rolling, I'm in, okeydokey?
