I am British and live in France and am forever frustrated with IMDb's changing the titles of films I view and in my lists to French ones, when I want ALL THE TIME to see titles in English, or at least in their original language.
Please, IMDb staff, will you please disable IMDb's facility for detecting my country location (ie France) and leave film titles in English!

Sorry for the inconvenience. This is a known issue and it is tricky to provide the best experience due to the way we store some of the information about original titles and local titles.
Until we have a full solution, our recommendation is to go to your site settings at https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and on the menu "Title display country" please choose "Original" which is the first item on the menu. This will block the localization of titles which should improve things, even though there will still be some issues.

This thread discusses the title, but even worse is when the trailers are presented with translated audio - which I absolutely despise. I live in Germany, and want movies to be played with original audio, absolutely NOT in German, unless that is the original. The suggested title setting above "https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and on the menu "Title display country" please choose "Original" " did not fix the issue.
Please advise.

What annoys me is a general problem of any website I connect to, detecting my isp (as being in France) and then changing its menus and other options to French. Any intelligently designed website will offer all visitors the options of which language to display their content in, if indeed they have options. To assume because I am in France that I want to see stuff in French is presumptuous, to put it nicely, insensitive and downright ignorant, not so nicely...
Just to reiterate and summarise--I don't want titles of foreign films translated into English (as the main header), just don't translate EVERY title into French or English.

There has been an issue reported here a couple of months ago where actually a web browser parameter had also an impact on the display language (maybe not the title). I remember that Jeorj was involved in that discussion, so if he reads this, maybe it can ring a bell to him.
Anyway, another question then: do you have the same behavior on any browser: IE, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera,... ?
