When a person has credits in various fields (e.g., Director, Writer, Producer), the page opens with one of those sections revealed ("shown") by default. (More often than not, the section at the top is not the title for which that person is most known, but that's a separate issue.)
The issue is that after we manually show and hide the sections, as needed, then click a link to view a title, if we then hit the Back button to return to the person's primary page, the sections that are showing and hidden have been reset!! So then the visitor has to re-hide and re-show the desired sections all over again. (This is especially cumbersome when someone has many credits in each section, because a lot of scrolling is required.)
This applies to both IMDb.com *and* IMDb Pro.
IMDb Pro has checkboxes for the sections you want to hide and show. After filtering, then viewing a film in the list, when you hit the back button, the filters are CLEARED!!
This has been a problem for quite some time! The code for these pages is incomplete! It boggles the mind that this has yet to be fixed.
Please, please modernize the code so that our show/hide preferences are remembered when returning to a page for which we've set the filters.
