Please, please, PLEASE change the way "Your History" works in the Apple iPad app. update back to the way it was. I want to see my whole recent history, not cherry-picked items, especially since the app appears to revert to home faster than it has.

We recently rebuilt the Your History page, but it should still track every title (movie, tv) and person page you visit. In fact, we raised the limit from 50 to 100 recent items. It should still track the same page views as it did before.

Can you provide example steps where you do something in the app and expect it to be saved in Your History but it does not?

I click on the Your History icon. I'm not trying to create or access lists. Only 2-4 items that I viewed today are shown. If this picture uploads, you can see that only one episode of Criminal Minds is shown. I've viewed several episodes today. Sometimes no episodes are shown, only actor links. Thus, trying to follow a show episode by episode is problematic. I have been, basically, an IMDB addict. Will not be using it very much now, as is. Too clumsy.

Hi CZ,

I've tested the history functionality with your specific example of Criminal Minds by navigating to 4 different episodes and see that each has been documented correctly in my history. To help us investigate this further, can you please provided the version of the IMDb iOS application you currently have installed on your iPad as well as the iOS version you are running. This may help us narrow down what is occurring and help find a solution.

Best,
Kurt

Yes, but did you click on any actors within those episodes?

Hi CZ,

I have also tested this with Criminal Minds and have selected actors within the episodes. All are documented correctly within my history. Can you please confirm your device details?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled The IMDb App for iOS is not saving history properly.

I've looked up several items on IMDb app and it only shows history of the last thing I looked up today. Then it will show more proper history for previous days

Sorry to hear this; we have merged this into another thread covering the same issue.  Please can you provide details of on which device this happens, your iOS version and the version of the IMDb app?

We've found the cause of this problem and we will have a fix available in an app update hopefully early next week.
