They base it on general sun sign dates, April 20th is generally considered the first day of Taurus.

Nope! I am a cusp so many people assume different things. But I had a specific birth chart done and the Sun fell into Aries when I was born. So I am an Aries. Just want to know how I can change it. Especially when I first signed up for IMDB , it stated the correct info that I am an Aries. Why did they change it? How do we change it correctly.?All I'm asking. Thanks.

I don't believe it is possible to change it.

The Sign is not actually stored in the database; it is created automatically from the listed Birthdate  when the display page is generated. Since it is not stored there is no place to save a modified value. It is not worth IMDb's time to create a whole new subsystem just to take care of the very few cusp dates that generate an error, particularly since the majority of people affected would not even know if it is wrong or not.

You might be able to get a trivia item accepted, indicating that you are on the cusp and although the date is normally considered Taurus, a specific birth chart was done and the Sun fell into Aries when you were born. (Note that trivia items must be written in 3rd person.) You would probably need to include the fact that you are interested in Astrology as part of the Trivia item.

I think that if they include astrology signs on the page in the first place, then one should be able to change it. I would not go as far as including a trivia on my interest in astrology. I just wanted the info to be correct is all. Or perhaps they should not include at all? Perhaps just the birthdate? Thanks for your answer!

Last Question:
Is there a way to take off birth dates? I would prefer it not to be up because it effects my potential work based on assumptions about age and range. Ive tried to take down. I've seen some folks who do not have any birthdate up. How can I do this? This is even more important me than the 1st question. Thank you!!!

For those who don't have one displayed, this simply means no one has submitted it.

IMDb will correct it if documentation to prove the request is supplied, but they will not remove data upon request.

The Help section for bio data, regarding birth dates says:

Date of Birth/Date of Death
  • We do not remove valid dates of birth/dates of death, so please do not submit deletions.
