Hi,

I can't log-in and I would like this profile to be token off your site, is there anything we can do to remove this profile at this site: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2667252/bio, I will do anything to have this removed, verify my identity, give my personal info, etc...

I just want it removed, so if you could help me, you can reach me at cristytb23@yahoo.com, which btw I entered 2 of my emails I always use and it's not recognizing any of them...

Thank you for your time,

Cristy Brendle

IMDb records facts about the movie/TV business.

Since you have apparently been credited in 15 titles, the Name page will not be removed.

As for more specific items, IMDb records facts about the people involved in the business. They will generally not remove accurate data. If any of the items on your bio page are inaccurate, you may submit corrections, but IMDb will almost certainly not remove accurate items.

Certainly they have never, as far as I know, removed valid items because the person named in the page 'just wanted it removed[.

There actually isn't that much on your bio to remove, the only contentious issue I see is your date of birth.

Performers can find this problematic, as it can stop them from getting work (although quite a few of those films have MILF in the title, so I'd have thought it might be seen as a plus) and have tried to remove their dob. However, if it is factually correct, staff won't remove it and in a previous case this went to court, a case which was settled in favour of IMDB.

If it is wrong, then you can send a scan of some official document to staff using this form:

Actually, given that the credits appear to be Adult films, I think it is more likely to be the Birth Name that she really wants removed. People involved in the Adult industry often prefer to keep their industry identity totally separate from their mundane life, and are upset when they discover it is not possible.

MayorDefacto contacts me about this and makes a similar point to David:

I expect that the "contentious issue" in Ms Skye's bio is her birth name. The same birth date is listed on her page at IAFD, iafd.com/person.rme/perfid=ChristinaSkye/gender=f/Christina-Skye.htm, and as you note, terms like Mom and MILF that pepper her titles make it clear she's not trying to pass herself off as an ingenue.

The reason adult performers generally take a "porn name", is to allow themselves some private life separate from their performing persona. As the information does not appear anywhere onscreen, I don't believe IMDb has any overarching interest in displaying that information.

Birth name is not something widely disseminated in the normal course of reportage on the adult industry, so it's in no way comparable to listing the name Maurice Micklewhite on Michael Caine's page. Big name celebs forfeit some privacy, but they generally have the resources to augment their security. It's a different story for a minor name like Christina Skye.

I really have no idea though how amenable IMDb will be to allowing her to remove her birth name.

So if that is the case, let us know, although we'll have to see what staff say about it, as none of we ordinary users know quite what the answer will be.
