I recently started posting plot summaries using my IMBd handle. However, after posting about a dozen for the Zatôichi monogatari series over the past week, when I click on my handle to see the page with all the summaries, it says I have none.

Many apologies that this issue has been ongoing. I can see that the results are currently only displaying 1 Plot Summary title, despite you having several other Plot Summaries listed on the site. I have filed a ticket for our technical team to investigate, rest assured that I will follow the ticket and will update you here when I have an update on the status.

Long time, no hear Michelle. I believe the reason they don't appear is because they don't have enough characters. Until recently, outlines and summaries were different categories. Now they both list as summaries.

Plot outlines and Plot summaries are separate data types, however, they do both display on the site under "Summaries" (which can be confusing to differentiate them). I suspect that you may be accurate in your suspicion that the results only display listings for a Plot Summary and not for Plot Outlines. As soon as I hear back from our tech team, I can clarify if this is in fact the intentional display.

Hi, Michelle. An IMDb staff member revealed something to that effect, years ago, possibly on the Contributors Help board of the old message boards on the main site. I don't remember if it was me inquiring about it or not. I don't remember who answered the question.

We currently cannot change Plot Outlines to be categorized as Plot Summaries, one of the reasons is due to technical limitations, the other reason is because Plot Outlines and Plot Summaries are different data types with different functions.
For titles we only allow one Plot Outline to be listed, whereas for Plot Summaries we allow multiple listings. Additionally, a Plot Outline should be a brief description of the story, whereas a Plot Summary is a longer, more detailed description of the story. This is why we have character limitations in place to ensure that the correct Plot type is being applied to the correct category.
So ideally, an outline is just a short summation of the story, and a summary is a more detailed summation of the summary.
I hope this helps clarify the differences!

It's been 7 weeks since your reply but when I click on my handle to see the page with all the plot outlines it still says I have none. I've had about 40 plot outlines accepted so far and it would be useful to me if they were included there.

I suspect that no Plot Summaries are displaying when your user id
is clicked because the data may still be processing.
