What is on the list page: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls027228740/
Poll: http://www.imdb.com/poll/BCajFBl3cts/
"These are over 25 years old rare or forgotten feature length (40+ minutes) Christmas movies with a low IMDb vote totals (sometimes under 1,000) but have decent over 6.0 ratings. You are not expected to know these films. But judging from their plot summarys, which is the one that interests you to find it and watch?

Warning: One film is a potboiler that is set at Christmas but not generally considered a vary Christmaslike film.
If you have any to suggest that you think others might be interested in viewing but might not know and you want to suggest it, suggest it here. No horror films! I personally learn of new old films every year.
P.s. None of these summaries were written by me but by other IMDb users instead. But I did add a few notes."
Ualifers;
- feature length movies 40 or more minutes long.
- Older than 25 years
- rated over 6.0 by the IMDb users
- low vote total. Currently it is under 1,000 but the number is negotiable just as long as the number is low.

Come to the Stable? I personally don't think of it as a forgotten film. I have seen it on lists of fav Christmas films.

That is ok that some people do remember it and have it on their lists. The purpose of the list is to bring out gems that are not generally not all that well known. With only 895 vote, it suggests that the general public as a whole don't know that "Come To The Stable" exists. I hope that this list peaks some interests for some more to view the film

I have two suggestions for you.
1. Fitzwilly (1967) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061669/
2. The Lemon Drop Kid (1951) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043733 (This is one is a shade over 1000 votes.

I remember "Fiztwilly" too. Poor Gimbels department store. They get no respect in 2 movies!

TheMovieSmith, I just found this crazy connection between Both film versions of "The Lemon Drop Kid" 1951 and 1934. I had already known before the connection between the "I Love Lucy" tv show, the 1951 version of "The Lemon Drop Kid" "Miracle On 34th Street", and the "My Three Sons" TV show. But now you can add the orginnal 1934 screen version of "The Lemon Drop Kid" too. They all starred William Frawley.

Edits:

But judging from their plot summaries...

...not generally considered a very Christmassy film.

In the title, is "2017 edition" really needed?

The changes done. The "2017 edition" part is for if I decide to do this next year, I don't repeat the selections.

Interesting premise.

FYC (I haven't seen any of these but they sound intriguing):
Yogi's First Christmas
Bush Christmas
Susan Slept Here
Comfort and Joy
The Holly and the Ivy
The Store

Thanks. All are added. Remember the "Bad Santa's " lists? In doing this one, I think I had found one other. How would you like W.C. Fields coming down your chimney? But his sleigh was pull by four beautiful women wearing sweaters spelling out the year "1939". Hey what I'm saying! I'm a guy! I want that sleigh to come here!

'Good idea and a great collection of rare films. My vote would go to 'The Store' or maybe 'Christmas Holiday' (if I'm remembering the title correctly -- the film noir).

'Three small requested edits: (in bold)

Old Rare or Forgotten Christmas Films: Which Is The One You Would Like To See? (replaced comma with colon)

These are rare or forgotten Christmas films, over 25 years old, with low IMDb vote totals (sometimes under 1,000) but have decent (over 6.0) ratings. You are not expected to know these films. But judging from their plot summaries, which is the one that interests you to find it and watch?

(moved the phrase "over 25 years old" and added parentheses around "over 6.0.")

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! : )

Just watched Beyond Tomorrow (1940) AKA Beyond Christmas last night.  Pretty darn terrible.

LOL, I love that blatant contradiction on the Rifftrax page:
Digital Video
Own this DRM-free video to download and stream.
Add To Cart ($9.99)

Meaning they got couple of copies of an out of copyright movie for nothing or next to nothing and they are willing to sell you a download of it for $9.99.

My suggested film to add to this topic:

Tenth Avenue Angel (1948) - It's not really 'about' Christmas, but the ending happens at Christmas time, and the climax contains a wonderfully moving Christmas-related component.
