I prefer smaller film festivals, to be honest, they always lead to new discoveries. :)

Indeed. That reference is just for the sake of the poll. I'm all about smaller festivals, smaller theaters, and smaller budget films: my most recent personal film festival was a Sean Baker movie festival.

Of these two, I say the Top Grossing.  While I don't care for all of them in that group, I dislike the nominees more.  :/

The last two years that I did this poll, the Oscars won but I'm not surprised that, this year, the Oscars are losing: While I like some of the Oscar nominees very much and thought they were among the best films of year, I was disappointed with both the ceremony and half of the Best Picture noms.

RF76. Just a thought, but if you had used Bohemian Rhapsody as your Picture Movie instead of a Star is Born, I think you might have seen the totals reversed.

Choice 1 (The Ice Cream on a Cone) as an Example! With "Sprinkles from Choice 2! LOL
So I guess 1 wins out.

You might as well ask me to choose between a neck massage or a spanking...

Top Grossing movies, but not because I think they are better, but because I haven't seen 4 films in that list, while I have already seen all in the Oscar list.

If it was in terms of which one is better, then it would be the Oscar one.

The top-grossing films. Some of them are thought-provoking, others are featuring interesting characters and atypical situations.

The Academy keeps nominating cliched films with overused plots, forgettable characters, and silly dialogue. I have seen action films featuring Chuck Norris, which still included characters with more depth to them than those featured in the Green Book.
