Broadcast News (1987) is listed twice.

But my vote, without a doubt, goes to: Monterey Pop (1968) because of the cultural heritage of the origin of pop music it brings.

I have. It's a slice in time. A trip down Memory Lane. I'm 63. Watched it around 73 - 75 or so on WGBH I think. You feel like a Kid again watching it now.

The wrong Cinderella is on your poll list. When compiling you may have auto-selected the most popular version over the most iconic. The Cinderella (1950) was selected for preservation, the Cinderella (I) (2015) was not.

I updated the poll suggestion to include Dixon-Wanamaker Expedition to Crow Agency (1908). IMDb  added the short documentary in the last two days.

The film captures life on Crow Agency, Crow Fair and a recreation of the Battle of Little Big Horn featuring four of Custer's Crow scouts.

I can't decide between seven films: Eve's Bayou, The Shining, Monterey Pop, Smoke Signals, Days of Wine and Roses, Pickup on South Street, and Brokeback Mountain. It'd be easier to choose my favorite but most worthy is the right measure - and more difficult.

Your opening sentence doesn't seem to make sense. I think you need an edit along these lines:

Some good choices and some CRAP. Amazing that major silent films like WAY DOWN EAST, WHEN KNIGHTHOOD WAS IN FLOWER, THE SHEIK, ORPHANS OF THE STORM, LITTLE OLD NEW YORK, BROWN OF HARVARD, etc have never been inducted.

Ecstatic that ‘Days of Wine and Roses’ was selected - one of my favorites from the Golden Age. Everything from the musical score to the performances is absolutely perfect!
