Quite possible the most influential and famous director of Russian cinema, coupled with Eisenstein. He later moved to Sweden for his final two films, even working with legendary cinematographer Sven Nykvist. He is a fan favourite among cinephiles and remains a beloved director for his surreal, slow-paced films and is one of the few directors without a miss in their entire filmography. Which of his 7 masterpieces would you say is his best?

Hi,
For your poll suggestion to be considered, you need to include a link in your list that leads back to this thread:

My vote: Solaris
(1972)
Second Choice: Andrei Rublev (1966)
Sadly, these are the only two Andrey Tarkovskiy films I've seen.

Hi and welcome to poll authoring!
Bravo on a well-done poll, informative and well written intro, and the great choice of subject for your poll. This is a tough choice as, like you said, there's not a miss in his filmography. Tough choices make good polls, I think. Solaris was the first Tarkovsky film that I saw so it's nostalgic for me, as well as a masterpiece, so it might get my vote but it might very well get the most votes so, in that case, I'd vote for an underdog, probably. I often do that when I have a difficult time choosing. :)
May I suggest a small edit for the intro? I noticed what I think is a typo so I'd suggest the following edit:
Quite possibly the most influential and famous director of Russian cinema, coupled with Eisenstein.
('The adverb "possibly" instead of the adjective "possible.")

Thanks. I didn't notice that. Stalker was the first I saw. Solaris was my third. I find it a shame he doesn't receive as much praise as Hitchcock, Socrsese, Kubrick or Kurosawa or any of the other greats.

I think the question should be something like "would you be the most interested to watch or watch again?"
