I grew up watching Godzilla films in the early 1960s. I consider Godzilla's debut film Godzilla (1954) his  best solo performance.

You should also add Godzilla 1998.  That's my favorite, too.

Godzilla '98 had those little raptor-like spawn of Godzilla running around. The poll says: ''no other monsters in the film except Godzilla'', so, I don't know if OP considers them other monsters, or not.
