FYC:
Death Wish (1974) and following film series, five sequels and a remake. All of them really interesting and having something different to offer, including aplenty of gunplay. 
The Terminator (1984) and sequels. 
Mean Guns (1997) (if you include one movie from this FYC it gotta be this, a superb and very underrated movie)

Added The Terminator series.

Didn't add the other two 'cause of low rating and no. of votes.

'Taxi Driver' doesn't have much of a (gun) fight scene. A very short duration in the end. It also does not have the Action or Thriller genre.

This is such an easy question...

 Equilibrium may not be the best movie on this list, but in terms of gunplay, voting for something else would be a shame.
