Kurt Russell began his career as a child actor at the age of eleven, landing in a plethora of Disney films. Then he began starring in films that developed huge cult statuses, pairing up with director John Carpenter in four films. Recently he has been a regular for Quentin Tarantino and continues to star in big Hollywood films. I think in Russell's case, his best performance may not be in the best film on the list. And the best film may not include Russell's best performance.

There's lots to choose from and the diversity of movies will make for an interesting poll- from the comments alone I can see a variety of choices.
Also I like Death Proof- it's an excellent homage to sixties and seventies car flicks!

Well, my own favorite Kurt Russell movie is 1993's "Tombstone". And after that, my next choice would be 1982's "The Thing".
