These are the moments that movie audiences wait in sheer anticipation for: the climactic, and inaugural, meet and greet between its hero and villain, the forces of good and evil. The moment when the hero and villain FINALLY meet! If they encountered each other but the villain was disguised, it won't be counted.

Which of these moments was the most memorable to you?

One of my favorite scenes in recent memory, it really showed us so much into the psyche of each character. Thanks for the vote LD!

Does Point Break really apply? Johnny and Bodhi know each other throughout most of the movie - not in a climactic moment. Same with Silence of the Lambs...

I am unsure about Point Break but with Silence of the Lambs, albeit not the longest build-up, still adds to the tension as we learn more about Hannibal prior to their first encounter. I think I will keep them for now..

Again, Johnny and Bodhi know each other through about 75% of the movie. They surf together, get into a fight together, play beach football and barbecue together.

#19 should probably be "Dutch finally meets the Predator", since that is his character.

Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader don't meet until near the end of Empire Strikes Back, and gets my vote.

I thought of one! In Good, Bad, Weird, Yoon Tae-goo and Park Do-won don't meet Park Chang-yi until the very end.

Harry Angel confronting Louis Cyphre in Angel Heart , not their fist meeting, but Harry's 'epiphany'. This film is still a top ten for me.

Great list and some I had totally forgotten. I went with Apocalypse Now cause the lead to the meet is basically from the start and it is still one of my favourite movie scenes. DeNiro and Pacino in Heat would be right up there too.

Thanks for the feedback man, I appreciate it! And yeah, that scene from Apocalypse Now (1979) really proves as the story's culminating high point.

i chose clarice meeting buffalo bill because it takes the movie to find him and he is the true villain in 'silence of the lambs'...she actually went to see hannibal on her own and he was helping her, so he was, in no way, the villain of the piece...(not until the sequels anyway)...
