Netflix has been known for making original content or even get the rights to continue with cancelled series from another companies (Eg. Lucifer TV Series) but anyway not so many of them have been lucky enough to stay on the streaming platform.

Which of these series you wish would get renewed?

Seen a bit of about half of those, and I say good riddance to them, except for BoJack, although it pretty much ran its course anyways.

Could add the Marvel superhero shows to the list.

Lost in Space is returning to Netflix for its third and final season likely in 2021. Looking for the latest on the final season of Lost in Space including what we can expect and where the series is ...

Yeah, I just put it cause it was good. But I remember there was a bit of drama whether there would be another season or not. The actors didn't know.

Daredevil and Jessica Jones

(Tho not Iron Fist and the other stupid ones, lol - someone else can nominate them.)

Oswald, I'd love to see more seasons of "Iron Fist" and "The Punisher". :)

Why am I not surprised, especially about "Iron Fist"?

Oswald, this series is not without its problems. First season was all over the place and suffered from haste production.

However, second season really surprised me with a deeper approach, themes and an (always welcome) feedback attention from production, which actually tried to make the show better. Plus Sacha Dhawan is great as Davos, a very unusual and interesting main antagonist.

Main antagonist is where Netflix shows most definitely shined, all of them. Even severely underwritten villains (there are a few) were at the very least salavaged with acting and they nearly always improve if the stick up after one season. A similar case I never expected to like that much is Ben Barnes as Billy Russo/The Jigsaw. He seemed a bit downplayed compared to comic book version initially, but the approach chosen actually worked: Netflix's supervillains are easily belieavable as talented people broken to such an extent you can't have them near normal(ized) society, because they immediately start to have profound negative impact.

Some more thoughts on some of those shows:

V-Wars cancellation I could see coming a mile away.

I mean, a Vampire show with Ian Somerhalder where he is NOT the Vampire? ROFL:

Spoilers for HEMLOCK GROVE ahead...

.

This one started off so good, but the third season was a hot mess.
Don't know how they are going to bring it back with all but 2 of the major characters dead.

The Muzlamics and some other religious fanatics got Messiah (2020) cancelled, on a cliffhanger.

I’ll nominate Iron Fist. For the most part it was the worst Marvel series, but the ending left me eager for more.

If other Marvel series are present, then I think that Luke Cage and Punisher should also be there. They had a proper ending, but had potential to keep going.

Marco Polo was probably the first high profile tv series they cancelled.

I made it to about Episode 4 of Iron Fist.

That guy is so annoying, I wish I had my own iron fist to punch him in the face with :D

The first season was among the worst of the Defenders, but I warmed to it and the final scenes promised better things to come.

I made it about as far as Barbara Ann, and it left me eager to never experience more.  Bad enough I endured him in The Defenders, too.  The only one I ever liked much was Jessica Jones because she was the only one not holier than thou.

I didn't watch The Defenders past Episode 2, because of his presence.

Seriously, I cannot stand that guy.

He makes me homicidal.

Hi Dibanhy and welcome to the poll board.  : )

'Good poll! My vote: probably "Anne with an E" or maybe "Bojack Horseman."

May I suggest three small edits to the intro? (changes below in bold)

Congratulations Dibanhy :)

The shows I want back the most are Daredevil & J.Jones, but I voted for Messiah on principle.

I'd take up netflix again if they had a better selection of movies. I don't want to pay for 25 year old movies that I've seen 30 times, or daytime movies that were so bad the networks didn't pick them up.
It might be a good service if you're a teenage girl, but there's not much there for the adults that pay the bill.

Two years ago, I think, Netflix had the most Emmy nominations. Last year, they had the most Best Picture Oscar nominations.  They've been consistently awarded for documentaries and shorts, too, so....

They even finished Orson Welles's last film, but everybody seems to want to watch Tinger King while claiming to want good programming instead. Not saying that' about anyone in particular, though, of course.  It's just, what more does one want?

I agree. I mostly ... umm ... acquire ... my entertainment media, but I have Netflix. It's dirt cheap and has a wide selection.

Ever heard of an awards show where they say "No, we couldn't find anything to watch either"? No, they have to pick a winner. Awards don't necessarily mean a show is good. 21⁄2 Men, Big Bang, and HIMYM won/received Emmy awards.
