This is a great idea, but there's some that I believe don't count., like Narnia, Alice, and Mary Poppins. In those cases, it's the animals already talking - the humans don't require a special ability (like Snow White and Aquaman) to communicate with them.

Aquaman for me. I have always found Arthur Curry to be one of the most interesting characters DC has to offer, since he has to divide his time between heroic rescue operations, ruling Atlantis as a monarch, and finding time for his wife and family. And his powers include telepathy.

Batman can be interesting, but his stories are often repetitive. Superman is way too bland. Wonder Woman is only interesting when the writers remember that she is a trained warrior and not a lingerie model. Unlike them, Arthur rarely disappoints me.
