I like the the 1990s as having the best movies, although there are many great crime movie in every decade. But, I thought the genre was the most dominant in the 1930's. I was a bit confused by the question, as to what "was the best for the Crime genre?"
UM,
I agree that the 90's were such a prolific decade. Maybe not as influential in the way some of these other decades were but some of the most revered crime films were made then no doubt.

I was a bit confused by the question, as to what "was the best for the Crime genre?"Since this poll follows the "Decades in..." poll series started by @DoctorBuster, I used the same question he had asked in his previous polls. I could change it to 'most influential'? Maybe it'll force people to think twice rather than asking for favorites...

Incredible decade, several films that really set the bar and, in my opinion, were never matched in terms of style and mystery thereafter. This decade is:

Thanks Ruby! The "Decades in ____" idea was originally DoctorBuster's but I thought the crime genre was one that has borrowed from so many of its preceding decades that it would be interesting to see the results.
