Live Poll: Directors' Perfect Resumes

These still active directors always seem to be at the top of their game, their lesser movies have better ratings than some directors' best works and they're so used to getting favorable reviews it's almost boring.

Which of these eminent directors would you say comes the cloest to having a perfect resume?

I love the Coens and would agree with their inclusion were it not for Ladykillers. And I would definitely add PT Anderson to the list (albeit promior to seeing Phantom Thread),

You wouldn't believe it. I absolutely adored Ladykillers. And I saw the original one. Once you accept it as something fun in a hammy, campy, so-wacky-its-good way, believe me, the film gets better.

ElM,

This is an extremely difficult poll to answer; I like it.

Thanks Dan, I sure apprecoate the comment.
BTW, there's a little typo on the question : "comes the cloest". I fixed it in the list page.

You mean all I got to do is copypaste and change the name in the title and in the nm=0... part of the link and I'll get all the other directors' resume automatically?

yes, just change the person's id number nm0634240 and name in Christopher Nolan's Directorial Resume. It will show all their director titles from highest to lowest order.

'Yet another great poll. Miyazaki, followed by the Coens and Anderson.

May I make my customary "semi-colon instead of a comma" suggestion? I'm beginning to roll my eyes at myself about my preoccupation with that, lol.

"These still active directors always seem to be at the top of their game; their lesser movies have better ratings than some directors' best works and they're so used to getting favorable reviews it's almost boring."

(semi-colon - or colon- rather than a comma after "game")

I just re-read it and I don't know what I was thinking. The comma works really well. I think I'm so used to my students using commas incorrectly that I start seeing it in my writing and in others' writing when it's just fine. I need an emoticon here that rolls its eyes, lol. Sorry, ElMo.
