There were so many winners that I was glad about so I'm not sure about my vote, although Big Little Lies gave Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon the opportunity to make that great and important acceptance speech. :) I was rooting for John Turturro but it was nice to see Ahmed win and he, too, gave an inspired and inspiring speech. 'So many deserving and important winners. 

Btw, I was looking forward to seeing your list. I've done a few but it's even more your thing and it's so nice to know you'll do one. You doing these is one of my favorite poll traditions. :-)

The awards for Unstructured/Structured Reality were not given out last night, but last week at the Creative Arts Emmys. I don't think you should include them here.

Well overall I'm pretty pleased.

The Handmaid's Tale is my favorite show I haven't seen (the book is easily one of my favorite novels, but I'm still trying to finish Breaking Bad so I'm putting it on hold). I can't contain my hype for that show. From the little I've let myself peek at I'm enthralled. It looks like they've nailed it.

Meanwhile, my favorite show that I have seen (Black Mirror), also did well. So until further notice (until I've seen The Handmaid's Tale, basically), I'm voting for Charlie Brooker's writing on Black Mirror.

We're in the golden age of television, man. Awards may be pretty arbitrary in the grand scheme of things, but celebrating television is hardly a bad thing at the moment.
