 Charles Chaplin (A.K.A Charlie Chaplin) was an actor. Mr. Bean is a character. It is hard to compare a single character to the entire filmography of an actor.

I would have made the Poll about The Tramp (Charles Chaplin is more known character) and Mr. Bean. Or about Charles Chaplin and Rowan Atkinson.

I agree with cinephile that naming one actor with a real name and another with a character name is a tad confusing, although there persists a problem to name a plethora of Chaplin's characters, including the Tramp just that - Charlie Chaplin. 

Also... What a hard choice for me, to be honest. I love both.

or their most known for roles.

I'm using the names they are famous for. (By what they are widely known.)

I'm not comparing a person with a character, if you click on the images, you can see I've mentioned their real/full name.

I don't see Chaplin as an actor, nor Bean as a character. I see them as an icon.

I hope y'all understand.

Peter, I am actually curious what could have been if that idea came to fruition. Rowan Atkinson can handle both roles from the original movie like a champ and put a unique spin on them.

I like Atkinson, but Chaplin was more than an actor. He was a director, writer, composer as well. He did the whole shebang.
