I'm rather looking forward to Glass.  I've only seen a little bit of Unbreakable but I thought it was mediocre.  Split, on the other hand, was quite good.

Unbreakable wasn't great but it has a good plot twist in the end.

Really?  All I know is that Willis was, well, unbreakable.  Except for water, right?  If you don't mind, what was the plot twist?  It's okay - I'm asking for this spoiler.  :)

In the beggining of the movie there are some 'accidents' and people died. In one of these accidents there is Bruce Willis who dosen't die. In the end of the film it is reveald thet Samuel Jackson's character caused these accidents and kill all those innocent people in order to find Willis and make him chase the 'bad' guys. I don't know if i forgot something I saw this movie many years ago. I hope this was helpful, cheers.

I think the poll might need an additional, inclusive answer for people who like the trilogy in entirety. I know I am one of those. :)

Paok,

For Face-Off polls please make certain that you capitalize both words in the title. Titles for films should be in single quotes.

Please change:
Face-off: Unbreakable vs. Split vs. Glass

To:
Face-Off: 'Unbreakable' vs. 'Split' vs. 'Glass'

Please review your other polls to make certain you properly capitalize Face-Off.

Please review your other polls to make certain film titles are in single quotes.

Please review your other polls to make certain television series titles are in double quotes.

I was really looking forward to 'Glass' as I enjoyed 'Unbreakable' and 'Split,' and thought both had fascinating hypotheses. I saw 'Glass' yesterday and was so disappointed that it, especially along with some bad calls from the Oscar voters, made me cranky, lol.

Although I found both of the first two to be well done, my vote will go to 'Split,' because McAvoy's amazing performance(s) carries it further.

rubyfruit76, can I ask what have you expected with Glass that you were disappointed? Because I was worried, given all the critical reaction, that it might not be good and turns out that critics have nothing on my humble case. Moreover, many reviews were plain wrong about trying to summarize the film's plot. It's seldom I actually hear word-of-mouth opinions from fans on that movie that are similar to those by critics.

That is really what I want to see out of superhero genre, to be honest: something  a bit more grounded and with a thoughtful message. Maybe I'm just too tired of generic and not really well executed movies like Avengers: Civil War and Logan being praised sky high for having nothing really new in them (on top of some glaring flaws) and just that genre in general, but I'd rather see movies like Glass all day than any Avengers movie.

Hey Nikolay, I actually didn't know what the critics had to say about it when I saw it, though was curious after I saw it. I agree with you in terms of the very smart and thoughtful premise, which is one of the reasons I liked the first two films of the trilogy so much, but, whereas those two films executed that complexity and depth so well, I thought 'Glass' largely failed in its application. It felt forced and cliche; the writing just seemed sloppy and incohesive. I also didn't think McAvoy's amazing skill with the many identities was not allowed to shine because there were too many distractions. That reminds me of one of those moments that I thought was rather trite, as opposed to the nuance of the first two films: Toward the end, Kevin, in the arms of Casey, just magically decides it's not so bad to "be in the light." A very real system of defense mechanisms that took years of trauma to develop and evolve just dissolves in the mist of affection and hinted romance. Besides its saccharin quality, I also felt like that contradicted much of what made 'Split' such a sophisticated exploration.

I do agree with you about many superhero films, though, which is why I see almost none of them, including none of the 'Avengers' movies: if it weren't for IMDb polls, I would have no idea about MCU means. Right now, I can't even remember the name of the other "universe," nor what the "C" in MCU means, lol.
