In general, the order stays pretty much the same when it comes to Top 250 film and polls. If I make a poll about Best Top 250 Gangster film, chances are that The Godfather will be before Part II, then Pulp Fiction then Goodfellas... so the list will be awesome but the outcome of the poll predictable and not very interesting, you sure you want to try this? :)

I know it is predictable ok, but worst case scenario it won't be live. Not the first one not the last one.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean Top 250 polls were not interesting, I was just speaking for my own perspective of someone who's been making and following polls for years, I'm sure users will find a fresh and entertaining value on them... actually, they're good poll if they make it to the homepage. They all have the makings of "live polls" but only in the homepage format with hundreds of votes, we can get to insightful results that give a clear indication of a film's popularity, for all I know, maybe Pulp Fiction is more popular than GF II...

I really hope to make it to homepage and I agree that homepage gives a rightful result most of the times, but check this out: The last poll I had in homepage was ''Best Alfonso Cuarón Movie'' and the results really surprised me.

That's why I've always been vocal about the extra value of the homepage, in the old days, you could get to 10000 votes in the span of one day, in the Golden Age, 15000 votes was a bad score... and you really had great insights... your example is even more eloquent, some movies we take their popularity for granted but when confronted to the "law of great numbers" you start to see things differently.

I see a new trend of polls' series, as if the franchise format had affected our own creativity, I would be hypocritical to criticize it because I started this as well with an "iconic score by decade" series.
