You know how they call a poster in French? They call it 'un poster'.

There's no doubt that the most iconic poster from a Quentin Tarantino's movie is Pulp Fiction (1994) (we all know it is, come on!) but how about your personal favorite? After all, the newly released Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood (2019) might just be his poster's masterpiece (right, Utvich?).

Which of these "QT" movie posters is your favorite?

Damn, I can't believe it, just had the best birthday of my life... I didn't know that two hours ago but something magical happened...

Imagine you're in love with the same girl from 4th to 12th grade, yes for 8 years and even more... so in love you never dared to try anything with her, so in love you'd be happy if she talked to you or paid any attention to you for more than five minutes, so in love that the best moment you shared with her was when she laughed at your comic-strips when you were 15.... so in love that for 20 years, even while being married, she haunted your dreams, so in love that even your dreams only consisted of having a talk with her, yes even your dreams knew your limitations.

Well I was just living the place where we had the celebration and my friend told me he saw her, she was next to the exit door... a quick glimpse and I was like "Holy ....;" and I went out, paralyzed, I couldn't talk to her, no way... I couldn't, she was the epitome of inaccessibility for almost twenty years... I was about to leave the place and he told me he'd get back there and I had to follow him...

She saw me... and we talked for almost half-an-hour, and she was smiling and laughing, I'm divorced and she's single, and we just talked... and it was like a dream, literally, like that dream I've had for twenty years... except that it was real, and I felt like I was back to that magical moment where she laughed at my comic-strips.

Whatever happen in the future will never erase the magic of that moment, I left the place with a big smile in my face, I was like floating over clouds of happiness... in all the gin joints in the world, she had to be in that one, it couldn't be accidental... and it had to happen on my birthday.

Probably the best gift I could ever have, the one thing that could make me smile and enjoy life... I was known as the nerdish guy with big glasses (God bless lenses) who was in love with the prettiest-girl-of-the-class, it would be quite a triumph over Karma, quite a full-circle achievement if we were together... but whatever happens in the future will never, never, erases the magic of that moment.

It was like a dream... really...

she's on FB and I told her I was writing stories, she remembered my passion for drawing and imagining stories, I'll send her one I want to publish and well, we'll see...
I didn't want to ask for her phone number, I've got to play it smoothly and carefully... but if it works, it's gonna make the buzziest buzz of all our promotion.. I was the nerd, she was the class queen... I don't care about that really, but I refuse to believe that it's all coincidental, it can't be! No way, i've got to do something!

Happy 37th Birthday, ElMo!

This deserves special birthday greetings from the host of a 1960s children's television show host in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota, Casey Jones.

cinephile, since English is modern lingua franca "poster" is one of those terms which are synonymous with indigenous words in almost any language. Ukrainian has "плакат" (plakat) and "афіша" (afisha), but both are less common than "poster" nowadays. Globalization. :)

We are both right, a poster is a pic you hang in your room but it can be used for the film poster although affiche is the usual term of reference

I wish I could've pledged to be in the francophone club, but so far even though I spent a few years learning French my knowledge of it leaves something to be desired. Actually, A LOT to be desired. I was legendarily bad at French in university... I'll never stop trying, though, so in a few years I'll be... slightly better. :)
