Already a hard poll to choose from. "Twin Peaks" (2017), The Hitcher (1987) and Lost Highway (1997) all have a very special place in my heart. Mojave scenes were fascinating in all of  them, as well. A lot of other classics I admire are on the list too, such as The Mummy (1932)!

My favorite is Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977).

Wasn't Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point (1970) also filmed in the Mojave Desert?

Truth be told The Mojave is HUGE! I just used films that listed The Desert as a shooting Location Tag. From this Picture you can see that Las Vegas is in The Mojave!! Zabriskie was filmed in a town within the Mojave Preserve. It is called Zzyzx, California. Pronounced Zay-Zehks.

Interesting, I've never heard of Zzyzx. Its unusual names bears certain resemblance with Zexzz, one of my music projects.

Wow ... good list.  It was hard to choose from those movies because I loved a good many of them.  I guess overall, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" would be my most favorite there.
