I do not believe that a poll like this is appropriate.
If a poll is about Kobe or exists because of his passing, it should be all about Kobe.
Would you make a poll about an actor that passes and have him pitted against other actors?
Suggestion.
Make it a face off poll.
Make it centered about him.

2. Great Dad
3. Great Basketball Coach to kids.
4. Charity work.

Are these the greatest players to play in the NBA or the players with
the greatest NBA statistics? Statistically, Elvin Hayes or John Havlicek
might be in the conversation as a Top 25 players. Conceivably, somebody like Yao Ming
or another dual league player might be able to sneak onto the list with their combined stats to give it a little more balance.
What is the source of this NBA's thirty-five greatest list? A more objective measure, like Box Plus/Minus or another measure might highlight some interesting star omissions or inclusions. Maybe, even supplant some of the more fringe choices with a few stars that are playing today, like James Harden, Chris Paul or Kawhi Leonard?
Plus, you have some of the wrong people listed with the same name, including James Worthy (I), Kevin Garnett (I), Steve Nash (I), John Stockton (II), David Robinson (IV), and possibly others. At least, you got the right Kevin McHale (I) and didn't opt for Glee's Kevin McHale (II).
