I would be making some polls covering the different "best shows" of NBC, then there would be a final poll with the top picks from the first polls going head-to-head. I'm not sure if I would separate the possible shows into different polls by date, or genre, or what - remains to be decided.
Please give me an honest opinion about how you feel regarding such a suggestion. I promise I will not argue with you or get defensive, though I may ask questions if I'm not clear on what you say. Please just give me feedback on the idea.
Thank you.

This sounds interesting. I'm assuming you watched or were aware of NBC's 90th Anniversary special last night. Let me think about this a little bit before I provide more feedback.

One thing to consider is whether you will ask for favorites or if you have other options in mind?

I don't think it needs to be multiple lists after all. Or maybe just two.

No once someone responds to a post, the title and the post cannot be edited by the author. Someone with admin rights can edit posts.
... and yes, this is a major inconvenience for poll authors.
With your permission, I will update the title of this thread.

IMDb does not currently catalog radio series as titles. Since, you are using Dragnet (1951 TV Series) as the first choice, it may be confusing to simply use the phrase "and the TV version..."
I suggest this phrase or something similar:
Radio show and two television series.

Anyone see anything really important missing?

As Peter states above: what a list! I will have a hard time choosing.
This is a nice commemoration of NBC's 90th Anniversary as a radio network. The television network is celebrating its 77th anniversary.
FYI: Dragnet (1951 TV Series) has the distinction of being on NBC radio before it transitioned to television. The radio series ran 3 June 1949 to 26 July 1957 for nine seasons. Some of the original radio scripts were used for the television series. Jack Webb produced the series from the very beginning and throughout its run on TV.

If I can make a suggestion, you should separate TV movies & mini series into their own list/poll. That way you can have more room when people want you to add their favs (if it isn't already listed)?

I think you should limit the scope to TV series including Variety/Talk/News formats and exclude stand-alone TV movies, TV mini-series and TV specials. While, they maybe in the discussion for the greatest TV project NBC has produced they are on the fringe and likely to accumulate only a handful votes. I also think that are not viable voting options and by omission of other great NBC movies, specials and limited series does the categories an injustice rather than serving it. Sybil, A Woman Called Moses, The Burning Bed, An Early Frost, Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story.
An alternative way to get these titles in rather than as stand-alones they still might fit the series format and have more impact collectively. They might have all been aired a part of the ongoing NBC Sunday TV movie series or some other like named network movie anthology series. Likewise, grouping all the mini-series together as one as it seemed to be annual NBC event and much like and on-going anthology series as a repeated event.
I also think parameters for greatest would be helpful: longest running, influential, pop culture, historical impact, ratings, most-loved, most enduring legacy, passionate fan-base, impact on course of television, and other determinants or simply the whole package. I think also on all those factors NBC TV series: NBC Nightly News, NBC Meet the Press and NBC Today and possibly NBC Olympic Coverage and NBC Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color (multi-network) might fit into the discussion, as well.
