A lot of Movies use a narrative instead of dialogue as the opening scene of a motion picture. Some have images. Some do not. Sometimes spoken. Sometimes not. However the director chose to frame the opening of these movies, they are the most memorable of the 1970s and 80s. Please take your time. There are a lot of good choices. You will have a hard time choosing.

Which one of these do you consider the very best?

I believe there is a bit of mistake regarding Mad Max (1979): the quote is actually from Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior (1981). First movie begins with a sort of epigraph/chyron, but it doesn't have any narration.

Still, a great idea for a poll!

I go for the most hilarious one: "The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the red zone." - Airplane! (1980). Unforgettable!

I know! I was LMAO when I read it L-2.
It also reminded me of the, Point-Counterpoint skit on 'Saturday Nigh Live' with Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtain too.

Just saw this on you list list!   I choose Little Shop of Horrors or Airplane.
They are the ones that would intrigue me as opening lines.

I have a second poll that covers the 1950s and 60s that's hard too.
