DC,

I understand you are at 35 choices. However, the anti-heroes you selected for your poll are relatively recent.

For your consideration:
Have Gun - Will Travel (1957–1963)
Paladin was a gun for hire. Professional gunfighter Paladin was a West Point graduate who, after the Civil War, settled into San Francisco's Hotel Carlton were he awaited responses to his business card: over the picture of a chess knight "Have Gun, Will Travel ... Wire Paladin, San Francisco."

The Fugitive (1963–1967)
Dr. Richard Kimble is wrongly convicted for a murder he didn't commit, escapes custody and must stay ahead of the police to find the real killer.

Maverick (1957–1962)
Bret and Bart Maverick (and in later seasons, their English cousin, Beau) are well dressed gamblers who migrate from town to town always looking for a good game.

The Incredible Hulk (1978–1982)
A fugitive scientist has the curse of becoming a powerful green monster under extreme emotional stress.

I'm not sure because I don't know all the characters, but I thought some of the marginal ones were:

George Costanza
Klaus Mikaelson
Nate Fisher

Thank Pibby.

I have replaced Klaus Mikaelson with Andy Sipowicz.

I removed George Costanza this morning and added Boyd Crowder from "Justified (2010)", whom I think a better anti-hero.

Nate Fisher: Placed #4 at WhatCulture's greatest anti-heroes list (http://whatculture.com/tv/10-greatest-tv-anti-heroes?page=7). He deserves to be on this list, I believe.

I certainly don't think of Nate as a marginal character at all but I never thought of him as an anti-hero, so I guess I see him as on the margins of the definition of anti-hero. Of course, subtly different definitions exist and part of it is perception. I'm not at all arguing that he should not be on this list; I'm just surprised that WhatCulture so unabashedly considers him an anti-hero but the more I think of it, the more I think it makes some sense. The grey areas are interesting, whereas characters like Dexter and Walter White fit the definition so clearly.

'Interesting poll.

I have removed Nate Fisher and added:

Larry David - Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), a great comedy anti-hero.

FYC:

definitely Frank Pembleton of "Homicide"
Archie Bunker ('so iconic that I don't even need to mention the series; he's like Madonna, lol)

Thank you Suzy!

I have added: Archie Bunker - All in the Family (1971)

He is more iconic. I just read some articles.

And my "Hero-Villain-Antihero" poll franchise ends here.

Thanks and a big hug to the whole Poll Admins team.

Only one poll in the franchise was featured on Home Page (Pre-1980 Villain). I hope this final poll makes the Hope Page. Finger cross.
