I realize this is based on an IMDb staff list or something, but some of these feel a little bit out of place. Zombieland for example is more of a comedy, and the horror element is less defining. The same thing goes for Aliens (1986), but replace comedy with action/adventure. Because it's based on IMDb's list I'm not too irked by it though.
My pick, Alien (1979). It's my favorite horror movie (one of my favorite movies ever, actually), and I'm not usually very enthused about the horror genre.
The runner-up would have to be Get Out, which is still my favorite movie of 2017 so far, much to my surprise. To clarify, I loved it. It was a nuanced satire that got under my skin.

Sparse, my thoughts exactly (specifically Zombieland where, I agree, it should be categorized as a comedy and not a horror.)
Get Out was awesome, what a unique directorial debut for Peele; it really was so different of a movie.

Get Out isn't necessarily straight-up/conventional horror either, but it's still comfortable in that vein of film. Honestly I'm really excited to see what Peele does next.

I too would rank Alien ahead of Aliens. Overall, though, I go with The Exorcist. IT was terribly disappointing. Sometimes when people do polls, I think maybe there should be a five year rule (or ten? - probably too long for a lot of reasons) that excludes entries from the last five years. Let the test of time do a little of the work for us.

Good one! I'd vote for Alien or another film from the list that scared me so much that I can hardly say it's title, lol.
Perhaps inserting a "most" ("most worth") into the question might be more precise? Either way, very good poll and written well, as usual. :)

Thanks for your feedback Ruby! I went to bed last night before this went live, but I was thinking of asking for a re-push anyways so that works out perfectly!
I'll try to implement this change ASAP :)

I love so many of these - the Paranormal Activity ones; Freddy Vs. Jason; It; Annabelle 1 & 2; I'll just stop here before I name half the list. Very hard to pick just one.
