Inspired by a domestic discussion. My mother had to be convinced that a photo from the new Lion King was not of a real animal, while my sister and I barely glanced at it to see the difference. It's strange how people perceive things differently sometimes.

I'm not saying that they're 100% artificial, but photorealistic animal anatomy combined with human mannerisms results in uncanny valley for me.

"They may not fool me 100%, but the effects are still good enough to suspend disbelief when watching the movie."
Of course, the movie was bloody super boring and all I wanted was one thing or another to eat Simba and basically end the movie sooner than it did.
