I have always had a problem with the word "drama", I mean it overlaps with so many genres that you might as well consider any non-comedy as a drama. For me, a drama is a straight story that doesn't play for laughs and doesn't have an instantly identifiable genre such as crime or western or epic or fantasy. So from your list, I would consider dramas movies like:

01. 12 Angry Men (1957) 
02. Forrest Gump (1994) (with reservations)
03. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) 
11. Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (1988) 
12. Citizen Kane (1941) 
13. To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) 
17. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)

PS: not a stand against your poll of course, just the way the word "drama" can mean so many things it actually loses its meaning, in fact if you even consider the core-meaning of the Greek word, even a comedy has drama :)

I agree, the word is quite difficult to define which is why I used the genres IMDb attaches to a film as the main criteria. But I also tried to do what you said above and not include films that are easy to label as crime or western - the former of which for instance, I already have a poll for ---> https://www.imdb.com/poll/Yyq7JO69nR8/

I think I will keep the list at 22 so to avoid overlap with my other All-Time 250 polls (Crime, Comedy etc.). When I tried to narrow my search on this website ---> https://250.took.nl/ The above 22 films in my list were the ones that came up, so for now I think I will keep it as shown. :)

Films like The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption fit the criteria you stated, so maybe you need to do some more research.
