I suggested this a while back, I thought it made a poll, it didn't :(
I'm not sure we have the same definition, defined them as movies centering the plot on a creative process whose final result is either the film itself or something artistically similar

Actually, it's breaking the 4th wall, not the third. The expression comes from the stage - you have your stage-left wall, stage-right wall, up-stage wall, and the invisible down-stage wall that separates the play from the patrons, which is then "broken" when it's acknowledged you're in a play (or movie).

That happens. But, hey, at least you had time to fix it!
I don't think documentaries should count. The purpose of a documentary is to educate people, and not tell a story. That pretty much means they "break the fourth wall" out of necessity.
That would make each and every documentary ever made to be a contender in such thing.

But documentaries aren't movies, in the traditional sense. In something like Patton 360, the historians, and other experts, will tell you what happened, how, and why. They are being informative, as opposed to using a stylistic device, like something like this line from Spaceballs: "Ship is too big. If I walk, the movie will be over." I think people would understand if you excluded documentaries.
